KICK IT with KITA!

Hey y'all!  Happy Easter!  I hope you are all having a great weekend full of blessings!  Well you may or may not know, I cofounded a nonprofit organization called Creativity Heals to give back to those in need. Our mission is to promote empowerment, self-discovery, and self-worth through creativity and self-expression to youth who have experienced trauma. We offer creative workshops in all art forms, such as rhythm/music, dance/movement, and visual arts.

For me personally, there is no greater feeling than the rush I experience when dancing and performing.  No matter what hardship I am going through, I can escape the stresses of life when I dance or do anything creative for that matter.  I completely forget about whatever I am struggling with and come out with a feeling of empowerment, positivity, and self-confidence.  I started Creativity Heals with my best friend (Charleen Meyer, Registered Art Therapist) and a special group of creative individuals in hopes to give every child a chance to experience what dance, art, music and creative expression does for us.
